Bay Welcomes
Sarah Palin
& the Tea Party
At Doe Bay, we love a party, so
we are thrilled to announce that Sarah Palin has
agreed to address her loyal fans at The Tea Party Convention slated
for the 4th of July weekend at Doe Bay Resort & Retreat.
Through a spokesman, Mrs. Palin said that, "Doe Bay is not
really on the world map yet, but I am willing to come here because,
if I win next time, I will be living in Washington for 4 years."
Her announcement included the first
indication that she is considering another run for higher office.
When asked directly about it, she handed this reporter the photo
below and said, "If I really want to be the leader of the free
world, I know that I need to sharpen my international credentials
and being at Doe Bay accomplishes that. When Senator John
McCain and I campaigned at Doe Bay last
year, the senator pointed out to me that you can see Canada
from Doe Bay." Lip readers immediately began
blogging that Governor Palin's husband Todd was
whispering, "I think that is actually Blakely Island,
honey."

Stay required - Call NOW

Won't it be great
to have a little extra time with your kids over Spring Break. You
could take your kids to see Avatar again and then
spend way too much eating factory produced food at a restaurant
that has Factory in the name. Or you could come
up to Doe Bay and teach them that we used to not have cell phones
or 250 channels on cable. We have several special events planned
for families along with the regular options of spa visits, massage
and yoga. We will have kid-friendly yoga classes, special cafe meals.
Call Jami (360) 376-2291 at the Front desk for
details, options and reservations.

Doe Bay Staff
Replaced in Late Night Coup

The New Regime Takes
Over Doe Bay!
Next week, in a move reminiscent
of the Ronald "the Gipper" Reagan's gutsy firing of all
the air traffic controllers, Doe Bay Ownership plans to settle years
of labor strife by a surprise tactic of summarily dismissing the
entire staff and replacing them with employees who look shockingly
like the 2004 staff. The more things change, the more they stay
the same!

Music at
Doe Bay

A young Paul McCartney plays his
first gig at Doe Bay in 1959. His mother, reflecting the prevalent
prejudices against the handicapped in those days, forced young Paul
to play right handed. He later switched, acknowledging his left-handedness
and went on to play professional cricket for the Liverpool
Cricket Club. (No relation to Bass player for the Beatles.)

Volunteers
Replaced at the Doe Bay Garden
Mechanized
Farming Takes Hold at Doe Bay

Doe Bay is attempting
to use heavy equipment and robots to mechanize all aspects of organic
farming and eliminate having to deal with gardeners. Until that
program is complete, Doe Bay will continue to host WWOOF
volunteers all year round to work in our organic garden, learning
organic gardening techniques and to participate in our Seed-to-Table
program where what we grow in the Doe Bay Garden is what we all
eat in the Doe Bay Cafe. Our WWOOF guests live
at Doe Bay and get free room and board in exchange for their efforts.
The program has been a huge success. If you are interested, please
write to Heather, the
Doe Bay Garden Manager.
