Meet the artists

Shaina ShepherdKnown for her pervasive style as a soul-grunge frontwoman turned piano songstress, Shaina Shepherd’s notable vocal stylings have brought her into a host diverse creative spaces. Shepherd’s moving performances tend to extend beyond genre; inspired by the parallels between gospel and garbage metal, Shepherd’s unique sound was lovingly branded “Tina Simone” by Rolling Stone in 2022. Combining rock opera theatrics with stony, piano laden story telling. Shaina’s heart songs are steeped in American folk and redefine the Outlaw genre with an infusion of Tina Turner, Dinah Washington and Nina Simone. Shaina’s currently on the road and after recording her first body of work. When Shaina isn’t in the studio, she is a community organizer, music educator and event producer in Seattle, WA. Shaina is also a member of the PNW chapter of the Recording Academy (Grammys), a member of the Seattle Music Commission, and a member of the board at SMASH. www.shainashepherdmusic.com

Dillon SturtevantFine Arts is a new band from Seattle-based songwriter Dillon Sturtevant. The music draws from classic textures of glam, folk, dream pop, lounge, and power pop to create a growing body of work that continues to evolve with each new performance and recorded chapter. 2023’s debut album Saltwater Disco (Plume Records) is both punchy and contemplative, and largely recorded as a solo affair with Nich Wilbur at The Unknown in Anacortes. Sturtevant has previously recorded as John Dillon, and is a part of other Seattle groups Tomten, Telehealth, Vinta, and Bryan John Appleby.
