Lonely Parrots is a new folk-pop duo based in the Bay Area. One half Michael Martinez & one half Max Embers, the two singer-songwriters have been making music and performing professionally for the past 9 years. Notable collaborations include Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Ryan Tedder, Naika & John Oates of Hall & Oates. They met in Boston at Berklee College of Music a decade ago but only realized their creative chemistry in the fall of 2022. What started as a sunset beach jam turned out to be the first of many songs, the heart of which revolves around human connection, the highs and lows of friendship and love, as well as our beautiful planet and its incredible nature. Moving seamlessly from haunting unison into soulful harmonies, their voices weave in and out of each other and become one. After two successful cross country tours last year, the duo is excited to finally start releasing music! Their first single, a reimagined, nature-inspired cover of Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody”, is out now! Michael & Max are also founders of the MORF initiative (Music On Regenerative Farms) which aims to bring concerts to sustainable farms and projects, giving earth-conscious artists an opportunity to share their music in breathtaking outdoor settings and to raise awareness about the regenerative movement!

About the Doe Bay Artist in Residence Program (DBAIR-26)
The summer of 2026 will be the seventh year Doe Bay has offered DBAIR as a way to support the arts and artists. Performances will vary by week, at the discretion of the musician as well as dependent on the weather. Most performers will likely opt for Friday and/or Saturday evening entertainment on the Yoga Studio deck with an occasional campfire set. Up to date schedule information will be posted on our homepage and other social media outlets.
- Reserve a cabin for the time when your favorite artists will be around. Five night minimum June 16 thru Sept 15*.
- Music through DB-AIR is FREE and open to everyone!
- We are not selling tickets for this event. Joe and Maureen are underwriting this program as part of their commitment to the arts and artists; music and musicians. All we ask of you is to tip the artists!
