The Black Tones are redefining Emerald City music. The Seattle Times dubbed the group one of the 15 Most Influential Artists of the past decade, and NPR named the band one of Seattle’s 15 groups redefining the city. Founded by twins Eva and Cedric Walker, the band has opened for artists such as Weezer, Mavis Staples and Death Cab for Cutie, have collaborated with Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and partnered with the Seattle Sounders FC launching the Hendrix inspired kit and most recently released their first singles on Sub Pop as part of the Sub Pop Singles Club Vol. 6. Whether singing about spiders or ghetto spaceships, The Black Tones’ sonic charisma is exemplary and essential.
