The dichotomy between the wildness of the world and a sense of promise for something wonderful is what gets me. I see the landscape as the setting in which we reside and in which these qualities are embodied. Artistically, I aim to reflect these emotive contrasts thru the depiction of landscapes by combining realism with gestural mark making.
