Booking Your Stay
A deposit equal to the cost of the first night’s stay is required in order to make a confirmed reservation.
Please note: We reserve the right to substitute a reserved space for another space in the same or better price category, or cancel any reservation and return a deposit in full if a conflict arises.
Nightly Minimum Guidelines
Our minimum requirements vary throughout the year and we even offer incentives for you to stay longer! All accommodations, including campsites, are held to the same year round nightly minimum guidelines. See our Nightly Minimum Guidelines page for more information.
Doe Bay offers flexible change and cancellation options. If your check-in date is at least 7 days away, you can:
- Reschedule your vacation dates
- Let us hold your full deposit as a credit towards a future stay
- Receive a refund on your deposit minus a 20% handling fee
If cancelling less than 7 days prior to your arrival date, the above options will be available to you if we are able to rebook your accommodation or campsite, otherwise the full deposit will be retained.
No Show & Shorten Stay Policy
Guests that don’t arrive on scheduled dates without 7 days prior notice, or whom shorten their stay less than 7 days in advance will be charged 100% of total room nights at the confirmed rate.
If a stay is shorten below our nightly minimum, each night dropped is subject to a $50 cancellation fee and is subject to a nightly rate increase.
Check-in begins at 3:00pm. Check-out is at 11:00am.
If you will be arriving after our office is closed, no worries! We will hang a welcome packet outside the front office door for all guests who have not arrived by the close of office hours.
Please respect the other guests, our staff and neighbors, by maintaining quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.
Pets & Service Animals
We allow pets in campsites, yurts, domes, and a limited number of cabins, primarily in the Upper Field area surrounding Homestead Road. The cabins/spaces that DO allow pets are our Bunkhouse cabins, Double and Queen studio cabins, select Rustic studio and garden cabins, Blakely cabin, as well as all yurts, domes, and campsites.
There is a $25/night pet fee each visit (for campsites, domes, and yurts, the fee is just $25 per length of stay, not per night) and guests agree to be responsible for any and all damages to the space or to complaints from other guests. Pets may not be left inappropriately unattended at any time in cars, cabins, or tied-up. They must be kept on-leash and scooped after at all times as well as reasonably quiet. Pets are not allowed in the Cafe, Spa area, Yoga Studio or Library.
Service animals vs emotional support animals – Guests accompanied by an emotional support animal will be responsible for the $25 pet fee. A service animal, as defined by the ADA, is not considered a pet and therefore is not charged the additional fee.

A $75 cleaning surcharge will be imposed on any room where guests have burned candles or incense, smoked (including e-cigarettes), or vaped. These items are strictly prohibited in all guest rooms.
We do not allow open flames of any kind on the property other than the community fire ring, the barbecue pit by the Guest Kitchen, and propane cook stoves. NO campfires, candles or incense are allowed at the cabins or campsites. There are fire extinguishers located on the outside of each cabin. In the summer, if there is no burn ban in effect on the island, a fire may be built in our fire pit (supply your own firewood), keeping in mind quiet hours, 10pm-8am.
